Space for drafting the survey questions to help identify the 'hot topics' to focus interviews around.

Survey Objectives

  1. Identidying the topics for the video interviews
  2. Identifying the topics for the e-campaigning articles for the booklet

Duane's Thoughts

I'd like to ask a much bigger community than just eCampaigning Forum event or list participants, I'd like to also ask people on other lists as this helps get better ideas and to promote the event too.

Where to people to input the survey:

  • ECF practitioners list
  • ECF Facebook group
  • ECF LinkedIn? group
  • Campaign Benchmarking Group (UK)
  • Charity Web Forum (UK)
  • Global New Media list (UK)
  • Progressive Exchange list (US)
  • NTen?
  • NetSquared? / TechSoup? list
  • Women Who Tech conf
  • Related MeetUp? groups?
  • Related Flickr groups?
  • Twitter-blast (more people, not too many tho, posting about the survey simultaneously)

We need to keep the survey to only a few questions, and I suggest the first is a profile question like what 'audience' are they (e.g. what best describes your role/expertise) such as e-campaigning practitioner, NGO manager and consultant. (Grab email addresses and related web addresses of course)

So some starting suggestions (for which there may be better ideas) are:

  1. What are your top three e-campaigning challenges you'd like to learn others' perspectives on?
  2. Look at the list of ECF08 participants. Pick three you'd like us to ask a question and indicate your question.
  3. Who are your top three stakeholders you need to work with to plan, implement and/or analyse e-campaigning?
  4. What are the top three most useful topics on e-campaigning for your key stakeholders would benefit from watching a video interview on?
  5. What is the best e-campaigning project you've seen last year?
  6. What are the top three e-campaigning resources you use on a regular basis?

Gillo: any mention/question about the deliverables?

Graham's Input

  1. What objectives have you set for your e-campaigning over the next 12 months?
  2. What are the biggest challenges you face in meeting these objectives?
  3. What are the expectations placed on e-campaigning by your organisation and how will you deliver on them?
  4. If you came face-to-face with the ultimate e-campaigning 'guru' what is the one question you would ask?
  5. What do you believe is the 'next big thing' in e-campaigning and will you be a part of it?
  6. If someone was handed the job of online campaigns manager at an organisation, what 3 bits of advice would you give them?

Merged Final

  1. If you came face-to-face with the ultimate e-campaigning 'guru' what is the one question you would ask? (Obj: identify key questions)
  2. Look at the list of ECF08 participants. Pick three you'd like us to ask a question and indicate your question. (Obj: identify who they find interesting and some possible questions)
  3. What are your top three e-campaigning challenges you face? (Obj: identify what help they need)
  4. What three video interview questions or article topics should we cover that would be of interest to your stakeholders? Include what stakeholder each question/topic relates to. (Obj: identify what their stakeholders need)
